The Fire Advisory Board is comprised of staff and elected officials from Long Lake, Orono and Medina, with each of the three cities appointing two of their City Council members to serve on the Board. The Fire Advisory Board meets periodically throughout the year to address contract related items, including establishing the Long Lake Fire Department’s annual budget. The Long Lake Fire Department (LLFD) provides fire service to areas of the cities of Orono and Medina by contractual agreement. The LLFD also provides fire service to Minnetonka Beach by a separate contractual agreement, and while they are not voting members on the Board, Minnetonka Beach representatives do attend these meetings as well.
